Uncured resin is a skin and lung sensitizer — always wear nitrile gloves and work in a ventilated area. Not suitable for young children. Adult should handle all pouring.
What You’ll Build
Beautiful, crystal-clear keychain charms embedded with glitter, dried flowers, or tiny decorations. Each charm cures in just 2–3 minutes under the UV lamp, so kids get instant gratification.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace
Cover the table with paper towels. Put on nitrile gloves. Lay out your molds, decorations, and resin.
Step 2: Plan Your Design
Choose which molds to fill and pick your inclusions — glitter, dried flowers, tiny beads, or a combination. Less is more; overcrowding makes charms cloudy.
Step 3: Pour the First Layer
Fill each mold about 1/3 full with UV resin. Use a toothpick to pop any air bubbles. Cure under the UV lamp for 2 minutes.
Step 4: Add Decorations
Place your inclusions on the cured first layer. This keeps them suspended in the middle rather than sinking to the bottom.
Step 5: Pour the Final Layer
Fill the mold to the top with resin. Pop bubbles again with a toothpick. Cure for 3 minutes.
Step 6: Demold and Attach
Peel charms out of the molds, attach keyring hardware, and admire your work.
Make It Easier
- Skip inclusions and just use tinted or glitter resin
- An adult handles all pouring; kids choose designs
